The Mayan Ruins of the Yucatan Peninsula are truly a treasure to behold. These lost cities hail back to as many as 2,000 years ago, when the Mayas were practicing such mathematical genius as astronomy and physics, long before the white man had figured out the secrets. Nobody knows what happened to the Mayas, but their legends - and their cities - live on to this day. Every visitor to Cozumel should visit Chichen Itza, Tulum, or Coba Mayan ruins at least once on their vacation. This is something truly unique to this region, and the stories that these ruins tell will move you.
Paradise Beach is Cozumel’s best beach for having fun in the sun or taking a break in the shade. Enter through the green landscaped coconut grove and upon arrival you'll be greeted by their friendly team. Whether you’re looking for relaxation or have energy to burn, you’ve come to the right place.
For the kids, and kids at heart, the FUN-PASS gives you unlimited play time with the kayaks, full snorkel gear, water trampolines, 14-ft. climbing iceberg, water mats, coconut tree climb, bungee-trampoline jump and water slide. And if that wasn’t enough fun, they´ve just added a 10-ft. water slide, a floating multi-tiered Jungle Joe climbing structure, paddle boards and the Rockit circular water rocker.
Palancar Reef is a beautiful thing to see when visiting Cozumel reef has coral out crops that tower 20-30 feet out of the sand, swim throughs (tunnels in reef that cut through to the other side), canyons and troughs, and an abundance of sea life due to the reef being a national park.
Great structures, coral and swim throughs! Reef is very tall with lots of healthy coral. Can do part of dive on wall and/or part on top of reef to stay shallower. Great drop off perfect for free diving about 10 to 20 meters on the plateau and then the drop of which was ominous. The current was strong and was great for drift diving.
Giant sea turtles and groupers await those with the courage (and the experience) to brave the fierce currents at this diving site. Enchanting sea life and colorful coral abound. The sights are never disappointing on Columbia Reef. Sea turtles, eels, colorful fish of various species , play together and with us.
